Shortly after midnight on June 23, the Wyoming Fire Department responded to a reported house fire near the 1000 block of Rathbone St. SW with possible occupants still inside the home.
The first fire units that arrived observed fire and smoke coming from a window near the side of the house. All occupants were quickly accounted for soon after arrival. While the fire department was extinguishing the fire, patients were being cared for by Life EMS.
The Fire Department was notified of this house fire due to the quick actions of a mother and the early warning provided by working smoke alarms. These working smoke alarms helped save the lives of the two children and the mother within the house…
