Cox pleads to reduced charges for break-in, assault in Georgetown Twp.

GRAND HAVEN — A local man pled guilty to reduced charges June 24 in connection with a January break-in and assault in Georgetown Township.

Jacarr Cox, 32, of Grand Rapids, pleaded in Ottawa County’s 20th Circuit Court to two counts of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer and one count of domestic violence.

As part of the plea, charges of first-degree home invasion, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or strangulation, and assault with a dangerous weapon were dismissed…
