GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — This week’s featured adoptable pets from the Kent County Animal Shelter are two sweet and social dogs.
Maize is a 2-year-old black and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix who’s looking for her forever home. Shelter volunteers say she loves playing with toys, entertaining herself for hours or welcoming others to join in. She would likely do best as the only pet in her adoptive home.
“She’s so wonderful, she’s the only one you’ll ever need,” volunteers said.
Barney is a big social boy weighing around 67 pounds. At 1 year old he’s reached full size, but he’s still full of playful puppy energy. Shelter volunteers say he’s just as happy running around outside as he is hanging out on the couch…
