‘It Takes a Village’ program returns to West Michigan for the summer

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Teens in Grand Rapids can enjoy some free food and activities this summer with the return of a local program.

The program “It Takes a Village” is running at three different locations — The Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, LifeQuest Urban Outreach Gym and MUSE GR.

Each location offers music, art and sport activities to give teens something fun to do. Organizers say they also offer enrichment activities to teach teens about mental health, personal financial management, how to interact with police and what they need to do to prepare for college…
