GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Wish of a Lifetime from AARP is hosting its 11th annual Cupid Crew campaign on Valentine’s Day 2024. Cupid Crew is a nationwide effort to connect with older adults at risk for isolation – and send them love. Cupid Crew will mobilize 40,000 volunteers to deliver 170,000 roses and 100,000 cards for Valentine’s Day. In Grand Rapids, we’ll be delivering 500 roses and 500 Valentine’s cards to residents at the GR Veterans Home and Heather Hills and to older adults who attend the Care Resources Adult Day Center. We’ve got students from GVSU who will also be participating in the deliveries throughout the day to the various stops and a team of 8-10 AARP Volunteers. Our first stop begins at the GR Veterans Home.
