GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Public Schools is quelling concerns over possible budget cuts, while acknowledging they will be a reality for the 2026-27 school year. Monday’s Board of Education meeting featured public comment from multiple choir students at CA Frost Environmental Middle School, who spoke in support of the instructor and program.
“Myself and other students are heartbroken that this won’t be an option next year,” one said.
“I have struggled with anxiety and depression,” another testified. “I still struggle with these things, but Mr. Lajoie and his choir help me greatly.”
