SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) – Cleanup efforts are underway across northeast Wisconsin after strong winds and severe storms moved through Wednesday morning, leaving behind downed trees, damaged power lines and thousands without power.
In Suamico, residents spent the day cutting up fallen trees and clearing debris. Along Harbor Lights Road, trees fell onto homes, blocked roadways, and damaged power lines as crews worked to make repairs.

Wisconsin Public Service reported more than 2,200 customers in Suamico lost power after the storm. WPS said crews restored power to thousands throughout the day and expected all affected customers to either have power restored or a crew assigned by the end of Wednesday night.
