(WFRV) – As students across Northeast Wisconsin head back to school, bus companies are preparing for another year of getting thousands of children to and from the classroom safely. But for some transportation providers, one challenge remains finding enough drivers to cover every route.

Lamers Bus Lines in Ashwaubenon currently has about 100 bus drivers on staff. Company officials say they need roughly 14 to fill out their staff.
“Our goal at this terminal is always… we’re looking to bring in,” Cindi Lawler, Lamers Bus Lines School Bus Operations Manager, “Ideally, if we could bring in a dozen people, that would put us in a pretty sweet spot.”
