Former Green Bay Press-Gazette government and local news reporter Doug Schneider died Sept. 21 at his home near Binghamton, New York.
Schneider, 65, was a reporter for the Press-Gazette from 2010 to 2023. He attended Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, and received a degree in journalism from the Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. He worked at newspapers in Pennsylvania and New York before coming to Green Bay. He also worked in corporate public relations for a period. He returned to New York after his time in Wisconsin.
