Green Bay man who used dark web identity to evade arrest gets seven-and-a-half-year prison term

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — A man who used an identity bought off the dark web to try to evade arrest was given seven years and six months in prison for seven drug-related charges.

Court records show that 28-year-old Daniel Mallahan will also serve five years of extended supervision after originally facing fifteen charges.

Mallahan was sentenced on the following charges:

  • 1 count of Manufacturing/Delivering Amphetamine (>3-10g)
    • Carries seven years and six months in a state prison, followed by five years of extended supervision
  • 4 counts of Manufacturing/Delivering Amphetamine (<=3g)
    • Carries seven years and six months in a state prison, followed by five years of extended supervision
  • 1 count of Possession with Intent — Amphetamine/Methamphetamine/etc. (>10-50g)
    • Carries seven years and six months in a state prison, followed by five years of extended supervision
  • 1 count of Possessing a Firearm — Convicted of Out-of-State Felony
    • Carries five years in a state prison, followed by five years of extended supervision

The other eight charges were dismissed but read in.

Mallahan’s sentence stems from a traffic stop in May 2026, when he identified himself to police as “Mark Barlow,” using a Florida driver’s license…
