Greensboro program helps small developers bring buildings back to life

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The City of Greensboro launched a program to help small developers revitalize commercial buildings.

The RISE Infill program works to create redevelopment opportunities where the city fills the small funding gaps for vetted smaller developers. The program joins private lenders and a city loan investment to close financing gaps for eligible projects in Greensboro’s reinvestment areas and corridors.

Growing the Community

The RISE Infill program applies to commercial revitalization of aging or vacant buildings in specific corridors mapped on the city website. It also operates through four partner banks that facilitate the finances.
