Thomasville City Schools superintendent resigns | Board to begin search for replacement

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — The superintendent of Thomasville City Schools is stepping down later this month after two years leading the district, officials announced Monday.

Dr. Quincy Williams and the Thomasville City Board of Education have mutually agreed to release him from his contract, which was originally set to run through June 30, 2027. His resignation takes effect April 27.

“It has been an honor to serve in this capacity, and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to lead and support this district,” Williams said in a statement. “Thomasville City Schools is a special community filled with individuals who deeply care about children and are committed to seeing the city continue to grow and elevate.”…
