Rockingham County school community seeks support for family displaced by fire

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Rockingham County Schools is asking for community assistance after a Moss Street Elementary School family of five lost their home and all belongings in a house fire earlier this week.

The district said three children from the family were impacted by the blaze, which resulted in a total loss of property.

School officials are requesting clothing and shoe donations for the students as the family works to recover. Needed sizes include a boys’ small shirt and pants with size 8 shoes, a girls’ size 16 with size 5 shoes, and a girls’ size 18 with size 7.5 shoes…
