Police: Greensboro man arrested for DWI after assaulting medical staff

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro man was arrested Wednesday after police say he assaulted medical staff.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, 22-year-old Tanner James Crowder was doing “donuts” on North Elm Street near West Fisher Avenue after midnight when his car nearly hit a police car. Police say Crowder then fled, leading to a chase on suspicion of impaired driving.

Crowder was run off the road on Huffman Street where he allegedly drove into a utility pole wire. According to court documents, Crowder physically assaulted medical staff at Moses Cone Hospital…
