BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people were charged following a shooting at a funeral home Saturday that led to a police chase, which ended in the suspect’s car crashing into a house, according to the Burlington Police Department.
On Saturday at around 2:15 p.m., the BPD responded to Rich and Thompson Funeral Home on Glenwood Avenue, where a caller reported that there was a fight after a funeral for a 2-and-a-half-year-old child who died last week.
The suspect, Trevonte Jaquan McGhee, 24, then went outside and fired multiple rounds from an assault rifle, according to police.
