Greensboro music venue Ziggy’s rebrands as The Move, marking new era downtown

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The downtown Greensboro live music venue formerly known as Ziggy’s Greensboro is being rebranded as “The Move” after a year in operation, marking a new chapter for the space while maintaining ties to its North Carolina music legacy.

The venue announced Monday that the name change reflects both its evolving identity and the long-running history of Ziggy’s, which dates to 1990 as a fixture in the state’s live music scene.

The rebrand comes as founder Jay Stephens shifts his focus to a new venture at Van Hoy Farms and considers a possible relocation to Charleston, South Carolina. Stephens will step back from day-to-day operations but remain involved in select future events…
