GREENSBORO, N.C. — No matter what happens at the state level– here on the local level– the deadline to file an appeal of your Guilford County property valuation– which of course impacts how much you pay in property taxes– is May 15th.
“I can’t emphasize that enough to the public because I don’t want folks to get there past May 15th and expect us to say, ‘Hey, open the appeal process back up’. It’s gonna be closed, and if they get the bill in July, it’s, the process is closed. We’ve moved on,” said Ben Chavis, Guilford County Tax Director.
