Two men arrested at Randolph County checkpoint after fentanyl, warrants found: Deputies

Two men were arrested during a license checkpoint in Randolph County after deputies say they discovered active warrants and found fentanyl and drug paraphernalia in their vehicle, authorities said.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit was conducting a checkpoint April 29, 2026, on Hoover Hill Road when deputies made contact with Randall Scott Weeks, 53, and Christopher Scott Lanier, 37.

During the stop, deputies said they learned both men had active warrants or orders for arrest. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, and investigators reported finding fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office…
