High Point Market didn’t feel quiet, but not uniform either | Ray Allegrezza

At the end of each market, everybody always asks me my thoughts about the show and, of course, the traffic. This time around, my most honest read isn’t that traffic was strong or weak, but that it’s that it was uneven by design, not accident.

I still get the sense that people still gauge furniture market by feet on the street, and if we use that metric for this show, one could make the case that the market seemed off a bit.

But for me, the old metrics don’t cut it, and here’s why: This is not your grandparents’ market…
