SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a suspect following a shooting that left one person injured early Thursday.
Deputies said that around 12:25 a.m., they responded to the Quality Inn Motel at 6690 Pottery Road after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, deputies said that witnesses identified the suspect as Paxton Tyler Bullard. Investigators determined that the victim and suspect were not known to one another before the shooting.
