GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Drive ended up on top in an alternating battle on Thursday night, taking command of the series in an 8-7 win versus the Winston-Salem Dash. The Drive improves to 26-25, while the Dash falls to 25-25 in the second-half standings. Greenville is now second place behind Bowling Green.
Three straight singles for the Drive loaded the bases for Maximus Martin, who took advantage by smacking a two-run double to right, opening the scoring. Ronny Hernandez drove in another run on a sacrifice fly for a three-run first inning, giving Greenville the lead.
