An Upstate man is in custody charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Anderson, Monday afternoon. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting on East Shockley Ferry Road and found a man that had been shot multiple times.
A search then ensued for the suspect, 20 year old Brian Beatty-Martin. He was located and taken into custody a short time later after K-9 units and drones were brought in to help with the search.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, there’s been np update on the victim’s condition.
The Sheriff’s Office says two additional people of interest have been identified and more charges are expected to be filed.
