Man accused of killing brother at construction site in western North Carolina

HIGHLANDS, N.C. (WLOS) — A South Carolina man accused of murder has been arrested and charged following the report of a missing person.

According to a news release, 41-year-old Rene Pena Diaz, of Greenville, S.C., was arrested after the Highlands Police Department responded to a report of a missing person at a residence under construction located at 429 Hardscrabble Ridge Road on April 29.
