PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – FOX Carolina is continuing to follow the case of a South Carolina boutique owner repeatedly arrested across the Upstate this year. Pamela “Brooke” Schronce has now been arrested 17 times since Jan. 1, 2026.
Jail records show Schronce was booked into the Pickens County Detention Center. The listed charge is obtaining money or property under false tokens or letters, less than $2,000.
The repeated arrests follow months of complaints from customers who told law enforcement they paid for items from Thomas and Turner Children’s Boutique but never received the merchandise or a refund.
FOX Carolina has been tracking Schronce’s repeated arrests throughout the year. Authorities have previously said she has been transferred between detention centers following earlier arrests as the case(s) continued to move through the system.
The case has also drawn attention from prosecutors. The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office previously asked the South Carolina attorney general to take over prosecution in one case, citing a conflict of interest.
