No bond set for Upstate murder suspect arrested after chase through USC campus

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – An Upstate murder suspect will remain behind bars after his arrest during a chase that went through the University of South Carolina campus.

An Anderson County judge did not set bond for 27-year-old E’Nicholas Leake on Thursday, a day after he was taken into custody. Leake is charged with murder in connection with a shooting that happened on Tuesday.

Leake appeared virtually for a bond hearing in Anderson County on Thursday, where he will remain jailed pending a date in Circuit Court.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said it was asked by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to be on the lookout for Leake, who was believed to be in the Columbia area…
