Pennsylvania State Police warn about tampering with electrical lines after fatal electrocution

FAYETTE COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Pennsylvania State Police are reminding others of the dangers of tampering with active electrical lines after a man was fatally electrocuted last week.

Pennsylvania State Police said 32-year-old Aaron Cottrell, of New Salem, was found dead near 327 Laurel Hill Road in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, on May 22, around 7:12 a.m.

Cottrell appears to have been trying to get wire from active electrical lines, state police said. A pole saw and a backpack were found at the scene…
