Central Pennsylvania man pleads guilty to throwing deadly punch at bar

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man pleaded guilty this week to charges he faced after throwing a punch at a central Pennsylvania bar that led to another man’s death, according to court records.

Aaron Wright, 35, of Hanover, is scheduled to be sentenced July 27 after pleading guilty Monday to aggravated assault and involuntary manslaughter charges, court records show. A murder of the third degree charge was withdrawn.

Wright and the victim were at The Circle, located off of East Walnut Street in Hanover Borough, York County, when he punched the man around 10:30 p.m. on March 15, 2023, according to charging documents.
