DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — With the deadline to pass a budget nearing, the Harrisburg School District is weighing a property tax increase. The district has until June 30 to finalize its budget, and district officials said they are still working through the numbers as they consider whether to raise taxes or make budget cuts.
Public Financial Management (PFM), a consulting firm that worked with the district during years of receivership, presented updated five-year projections tied to the proposed 2026-27 budget at a recent board meeting.
