A Palmyra manufacturing and commercial construction business is looking to tear down a blighted former Main Street hotel property to expand.
On Sept. 8, Palmyra Borough Council members unanimously approved a waiver for the requirement of a land development plan for the 977 Main St. property. Ty Irvin, of Irvin Services Inc., said the site will be a proposed 24,000-square-foot contractor painting shop after the demolition of the existing buildings.
“Due to the current business changes, we’re experiencing some rapid growth and need to add a painting operation,” Irvin said. “With this property here, it will afford us to be able to grow … and probably add another 12 employees to the borough.”…
