WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Michael Horrocks, a Hershey native, was the co-pilot of United Airlines Flight 175 on Sept. 11, 2001, one of four planes hijacked by terrorists that fateful day.
Flight 175 was the second plane to crash into the World Trade Center in New York City 25 years ago. Now, in 2026, Horrocks will be remembered by West Chester University, where he played collegiate football from 1981 to 1984 before graduating in 1985.

West Chester will honor Horrocks during the Rams’ home football opener this Saturday against IUP with a moment of silence before kickoff, which is set for 6 p.m.
