MECHANICSBURG – Big plays and a big night on the ground from Harrisburg running back Princeton Dent was more than enough to power Harrisburg past Cumberland Valley, 28-7, on Friday night at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Field in a clash of two Mid-Penn Commonwealth foes.
Harrisburg (3-0, 2-0 Commonwealth) received a strong showing from Dent, who made the most of his opportunities, racking up 126 yards on 19 carries and a pair of scores on the way to the three-score victory.
The Cougars relied on big plays to come away with points in the opening half, as Trays Walker returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a Cougars touchdown and Kayden Stephens connected with Jaiyon Lewis for a 9-yard touchdown pass to give Harrisburg a 14-0 lead with seven minutes left in the opening frame…
