DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — If you like spending time outdoors, there’s a new area in Dauphin County for you to explore.
The former Hocker Park is now part of the Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area. The new addition connects Harrisburg and surrounding areas to the 1,000-acre park, with 12 miles of trails.
“We now have two official parking lots, trailheads and a trail system that stretches from the base of Blue Mountain all the way to the ridgeline where we are standing today,” park manager for Memorial State Park Courtney Troutman said.
