A settlement with a Florida-based company and its owners has been reached. The owners of the company had allegedly impersonated a Commonwealth agency to get money from those in Pennsylvania who had just newly registered businesses.
This Florida-based company will be paying $40,000 to the impacted business owners. Pennsylvania-based business owners had been contacted by PA Corporate Certificates, LLC to purchase a Subsistence Certificate that typically costs $40 but not all companies need this certificate to operate a business.
