Facility dog lends helping paw | On the Bright Side

CAMP HILL, Pa. — In the halls of Cedar Cliff High School, one of the most popular staff members doesn’t have a degree… but does have a wagging tail.

Decker, a gentle Labrador Retriever known by students as “Mr. D,” has become a staple of the West Shore School District. For learning support teacher Deborah Frey, he’s more than just a classroom companion, there’s a personal connection.

“My younger son is a special education student,” Frey said. “He’s now an adult but I did a lot of stuff volunteering for him.”…
