Harrisburg Police urge residents and visitors to use caution when arranging ATV, dirt bike sales in the city

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg Police on Monday issued a warning to residents and others who come to the city to sell cars, ATVs, dirt bikes and similar items arranged privately or through online marketplaces.

“Recent incidents have shown an increase in theft and fraudulent activity targeting sellers during meetups,” the police department said. “Criminals may pose as legitimate buyers to gain access to vehicles or arrange unsafe meeting conditions.”
