York man, 21, gets life sentence for killing a bystander in a gang-related shooting in a park

A 21-year-old man received a life sentence for shooting and killing a bystander at a York County park in 2021, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Friday.

In December 2025, Elijah Penn, of York, was convicted of first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
