Police: York man faces attempted homicide charge after firing shot at woman’s head

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — A woman was shot at in York on Sunday afternoon while she was standing next to her vehicle, which had her child inside, according to court documents.

Attempted homicide, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person charges were filed against Brian McFadden, 58, of York, court records show.

In an affidavit of probable cause, York City Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of East Market Street at 12:14 p.m. Officers spoke with the woman, who said she and McFadden were fighting when he allegedly went to get a gun from a bedroom closet.
