Harrisburg Police arrest 2nd suspect in AME Bethel Church burglary

Harrisburg Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of a second suspect accused of burglarizing the Bethel AME Church in the city earlier this year.

Jeffery Brian Youngblood, 39, is accused of conspiring with a second suspect, 48-year-old Nathan Johnson, to break into the church and steal copper pipes and wiring, components of the church’s HVAC system, its water pump and multiple microwave ovens.

In addition to causing an estimated $100,000 in damage to the church’s HVAC system, the thefts left the congregation without heat or water just days before Easter services, authorities said…
