Car with no plates leads to discovery of altered prescription bottles, Ecstasy, meth: Piedmont police

(KRON) — The Piedmont Police Department said an officer pulled over a driver without license plates just after midnight Tuesday and soon discovered suspected narcotics for sale.

“During the stop, [the officer] located prescription bottles with altered labels containing suspected controlled substances,” PPD said in a social media post Thursday.

Piedmont police said a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of the following items:

  • A large amount of marijuana believed to be packaged for sale
  • Multiple bottles of Promethazine Hydrochloride
  • Suspected methamphetamine, oxycodone, MDMA (Ecstasy), and Xanax
  • U.S. currency consistent with street-level narcotics sales

The unidentified man was arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of multiple narcotics-related charges, including possession for sale of controlled substances and marijuana, according to PPD…
