Windy with fire weather concerns, beach hazards

(KRON) — Breezy to windy conditions continue, especially along the immediate coast. Hazardous marine conditions are expected through the weekend. Elevated fire weather conditions continue through Monday across the interior with low humidities and strong gusts. Blustery winds will impact Bay Area beaches into the weekend, with hazardous conditions for west-facing beaches this afternoon through Monday morning.

Saturday, low pressure will be over the West, and a disturbance will move across Northern California early in the morning. High clouds associated with the disturbance are moving into the North Bay, while other areas remain clear. The clouds will be short-lived, as the disturbance quickly dives into the Great Basin by Saturday afternoon.

The disturbance will help reinforce already-moderate onshore pressure gradients across the region. Gusty winds are ongoing, with speeds in the 30 to 40 miles per hour range and isolated gusts up to 50 miles per hour along the immediate coast and coastal waters.
