Cooling trend continues through Memorial Day weekend

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Seasonal to slightly below normal temperatures will continue through Memorial Day weekend. Tuesday will feature strong northerly winds. On Wednesday, a gradual warming and drying trend kicks off.

Low pressure continues to affect the Bay Area this Memorial Day weekend, keeping the marine layer around 2000 feet deep, with low clouds returning early, and clearing late. As a result, temperatures will remain near to slightly below normal with an onshore flow. Breezy winds are expected, with gusts of 25 to 35 miles per hour along the coast, across ridgelines, and through west-to-east oriented gaps and passes.
