Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, stars of the upcoming spinoff series “The Valley,” have corrected a mistake in the bio that Bravo released for the show. During their podcast episode titled “Sex, Love and What Else Matters” on January 20th, Kristen and Luke read the bio that Bravo had included with the promotional clip for “The Valley.” The bio described how Kristen and Luke met at a wedding in Colorado after Kristen’s last breakup and how they are now juggling starting a family, caring for three dogs, and running multiple businesses. Kristen jokingly mentioned that the description made it seem like Luke walked into her life just as she decided she wanted to have a baby, which wasn’t exactly how it happened.

After reading the bio, Kristen felt the need to clarify that she had always been interested in motherhood before meeting Luke. She explained that even before her previous exes, she had wanted a baby and that it was something she always knew she would be good at. Kristen also mentioned that Luke helped her realize that she had been changing herself to fit her exes’ goals, but it had always been known that she wanted kids.

Luke also expressed his displeasure with the way their relationship was described in the bio. He mentioned that they would explain more in the future and that he didn’t appreciate the narrative that he was chosen solely to father Kristen’s baby when they didn’t even know each other yet.

Kristen and Luke met in June 2022, shortly after Kristen’s split from Alex. They hooked up at a friend’s wedding and remained in touch before taking their relationship to the next level. The couple went public with their romance in December 2022 and have since collaborated on their podcast, where they discuss various topics, including their plans to have children.

In October 2023, Kristen and Luke revealed that they had ongoing discussions about getting engaged and starting a family in the near future. Kristen shared that she had received good news from her OBGYN and that when they were ready to start trying, everything looked promising. However, in November 2023, Kristen shared that she had a nonviable pregnancy, which resulted in a miscarriage. She decided to talk about it because she knew many others had gone through similar experiences.

Despite the setback, Kristen and Luke remain committed to starting a family together and are focused on promoting their upcoming reality series, “The Valley,” which also features Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright from their time on “Vanderpump Rules.” Kristen clarified that the new show is not about working at a restaurant like “Vanderpump Rules,” but rather its own original show with three members from the previous cast. “The Valley” is set to premiere on Bravo in spring 2024.
