Meghan Markle has expressed that she believes the “hardest seven years” of her life are finally behind her, sharing an optimistic horoscope prediction on Instagram. After staying off social media for several years during her time as a member of the royal family, Meghan launched a personal Instagram account under the handle @meghan on New Year’s Day 2025.
Her return to the platform came after a five-year absence, marked by a video of herself on a Montecito beach writing “2025” in the sand. This post was intended to promote her new ventures, including the Netflix series With Love, Meghan. Since then, Meghan has shared glimpses of daily life in California, occasionally featuring Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Fans of the British royals have welcomed these intimate insights into their lives away from the public eye. For Meghan, the move to social media has provided a way to connect on her own terms, with a hopeful outlook for the future.
Recently, Meghan shared an astrology-related post on her Instagram Stories highlighting a horoscope prediction that suggests her zodiac sign, Leo, is coming out of a challenging seven-year period. The video, originally posted by an astrology page called Astrology is for Everyone, showed two men dancing joyfully with a caption stating: “Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius ending the hardest seven years of their lives on April 25.”
This message referred to the planet Uranus leaving Taurus, signaling the conclusion of a difficult seven-year cycle of transformation for those star signs. The post explained that this planetary shift allows individuals to settle into a new version of themselves shaped by the past years’ changes.
In response to Meghan sharing the video, the astrology account commented: “The Queen herself has been public proof of this transit… here’s to reigning again.”
Meghan also shared another astrology message aimed specifically at Leos, describing how they might be ready to find peace after a trying period. It noted the exhausting tension between one’s true self and public perception, the hits to confidence, and struggles with self-worth. The message offered reassurance that as of April 25, the pressure would lift, allowing Leos space to simply exist without constant struggle.
Meghan and Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in January 2020, two years after their wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Since then, they have focused on family life with their two children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.
In February 2021, Buckingham Palace officially confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not return as working members of the royal family, acknowledging their decision with respect and noting they remain beloved family members.
Meghan has spoken candidly about the challenges she has faced, including intense online bullying and harassment. During a visit to Melbourne’s Swinburne University of Technology, she described being the most trolled person globally over a decade, yet emphasized her resilience: “I’m still here.”
On the same day, Prince Harry opened up about his reluctance to live as a working royal, revealing that the role took a heavy toll on his late mother, Princess Diana, and influenced his decision to step back from royal duties.
