LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcycle rider with a reported hip fracture was rescued Friday afternoon in a desert area several miles west of Skye Canyon.
Metro Search and Rescue said its AIR1 helicopter responded to the northwest valley after contact was made with the victim’s riding partner. Poor phone reception in the area hampered communication, but the partner said the rider suffered substantial injuries in an off-road motorcycle crash.
