LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Lake Mead National Recreation Area suspended operations of its dive team less than three weeks ahead of Memorial Day, officials confirmed to 8 News Now on Wednesday.
Operations requiring divers are being coordinated with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other partner agencies along the Nevada and Arizona sides of the largest reservoir in the nation. The recreation area includes Lake Mohave, with stretches southward to Davis Dam near Laughlin.
The team is expected to be back in service sometime after this summer…
