LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two DMV offices are nearing their closing dates, and a reminder on Tuesday directed residents to use the facility at Silverado Ranch Boulevard and South Valley View Boulevard.
The DMV office on Donovan Road in North Las Vegas is closing at the end of business on Oct. 9, and Henderson’s only DMV branch closes at the end of business on Oct. 14. Both offices are permanently relocating their services to the Silverado facility, according to a social media post on Monday from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.

“More updates to come on the opening date, but in the meantime, get your transactions handled either online or at a kiosk for the quickest and easiest service,” DMV posted on X.
As 8 News Now reported first in 2024, the Silverado Ranch location will be a combined commercial and non-commercial driver’s license facility replacing offices in Henderson and the commercial driver’s license facility off Craig Road.
The offices are closing for budget reasons. The Nevada DMV had the funds to open the Silverado facility, but not enough in the budget to hire and maintain staffing for the other locations. Nevada law caps the DMV’s budget…
