Henderson police destroyed home in 2-day barricade, lawsuit says

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Henderson homeowner says police destroyed his apartment during a two-day SWAT standoff that ended with a wanted man found dead, according to a lawsuit.

The 2024 barricade on Callen Falls Avenue near Galleria Drive and Water Street lasted 37 hours and ended in the death of 31-year-old Trevor Cooper. The Clark County coroner’s office ruled his death a suicide.

Police came to the apartment on Friday, April 12, 2024, to serve Cooper, a jujitsu specialist, with a warrant on charges of kidnapping, battery and administering drugs.
