Las Vegas neighbors frustrated by squatters in condemned lot

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A condemned home in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood is drawing concern not just because of who’s living there now, but because of why.

Neighbors told 8 News Now squatters have moved into the burned property near Ringle Lane and Washington Avenue, but one man said he used to live there before the fire and now has nowhere else to go.

“As long as I can remember, to be honest, it just doesn’t make us look good, you know, around here,” said an anonymous neighbor.

Behind the boarded windows and scattered debris, there’s a deeper story unfolding. Neighbors said that since the fire last fall, people believed to be experiencing homelessness have moved onto the property…
