Truck hit pedestrian and left scene near the north Strip, impairment suspected

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A driver accused of fleeing after crashing into a bus shelter and striking a pedestrian on West Sahara Avenue early Saturday was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run charges, Las Vegas police said.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded Saturday at about 2:47 a.m. to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision on West Sahara Avenue, west of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Evidence at the scene and video of the collision indicated a gray 2014 Ram 2500 failed to maintain its travel lane after making a left turn from northbound Las Vegas Boulevard onto westbound Sahara Avenue, police said…
