LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Hundreds of volunteers fanned out across Southern Nevada on Saturday to help low-income homeowners with repairs and exterior improvements as part of National Rebuilding Day, an annual effort led locally by Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada.
The organization said the work focused on homeowners, including veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities. Volunteers tackled general home maintenance and exterior projects such as painting, tree trimming, yard cleanup, and street number curb maintenance, which the group described as a key safety feature that helps emergency medical services and others quickly locate people in medical distress.
In partnership with the City of Henderson, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada also participated in a community effort to redevelop the historic Water Street District, where ongoing improvements aim to strengthen the neighborhood and support residents…
